FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
(a.k.a. things we get asked all the time so you don’t have to email us at 2 AM)
❓ How do I book a site?
Easy. Hit that shiny “Book Now” button on our website and follow the prompts.
❓ Do you take walk-ins?
Sometimes. If we have space, we’ll happily welcome you. But we fill up fast in peak season — so reservations are strongly recommended unless you like gambling with your vacation.
❓ What time is check-in / check-out?
Check-in: 3 PM (we need time to make sure your site looks Instagram-worthy).
Check-out: 11 AM (we’ll miss you, but the next camper needs your spot).
❓ Do you have hookups for RVs?
Yes! We’ve got serviced sites with electricity, water, and sewer. Think of it as “glamping for your vehicle.”
❓ Is there parking on site?
Yes! We have designated parking areas on our property. Feel free to temporarily park near your site to unload, but we ask you to park in our designated areas during your stay.
❓ What do I need to bring?
For cottages, please bring:
Bedding: sheets, pillows, and towels
Essentials: toiletries, food, and tea towels
You don’t need to bring:
Paper towel and toilet paper (provided)
Soap for kitchen and bathroom (provided)
Each kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, and a 6-piece place setting per cabin.
❓ How many beds do the cottages have?
Deluxe Cottage: 1 queen bed in one bedroom, 3 single beds in the other
Standard Cottages: 1 queen bed in one bedroom, 1 double bed and a bunk bed in the other
❓ Can I bring my dog?
Absolutely — dogs love it here. Just keep them on a leash, pick up after them, and maybe don’t let them chase squirrels (no matter how much they really want to).
❓ Is there Wi-Fi?
No, but our office has internet connectivity in case of an emergency. There is cell phone coverage across the property, but service is not guaranteed. Besides, nature > Wi-Fi.
❓ Are campfires allowed?
Yep, in the designated fire pits. Roast your marshmallows, tell your ghost stories, live your best campfire life. It is the guest’s responsibility to adhere to any fire ban — and yes, that includes “but it’s just a tiny fire.” https://www.bracebridge.ca/town-services/bracebridge-fire-department/fire-danger-rating/
❓ What’s nearby?
We’re in beautiful South Muskoka, which means hiking trails, swimming, and yes, a general store for the snacks you forgot. Downtown Bracebridge is just a short drive away if you need restaurants or supplies. https://www.riverlittle.ca/home#nearby-attractions
❓ What happens if it rains?
You get wet. Kidding (sort of). We recommend bringing a tarp, some board games, and a good attitude. Rain makes the campfire stories cozier.
❓ Can I drink alcohol?
Yes — responsibly and at your own site. Think “cheers with friends,” not “Spring Break 2003”. Must be legal drinking age.
❓ What about refunds if I cancel?
Cancellations made 14 days or more before arrival will receive a full refund (less any processing fees).
Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival are subject to a cancellation fee or forfeiture of deposit.
No refunds will be issued for early departures or no-shows.
We reserve the right to cancel any reservation due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., safety concerns, weather events). In such cases, guests will receive a full refund.
❓ Do you allow parties?
We allow fun, laughter, and maybe a sing-along or two. We do not allow ragers that keep the whole campground awake. Quiet hours are real, and we enforce them.
❓ What if I see wildlife?
Smile, take a photo (from a distance), and don’t feed them. The raccoons are already plotting without your help.
❓ How do I reach someone if I need help during my stay?
Find our office or call us at 1-877-744-CAMP (2267). If it’s an emergency, call 911 first — we’re good, but not paramedic-good.
❓ What do I need to do at check-out?
Please put garbage in the large blue bin at the entrance. Place recycling in the small blue bins in front of the cabins
